Deltatre to provide cloud editing services to European Tour
Deltatre, the international sports media services company, has agreed a deal with golf’s European Tour to provide cloud editing services, which aims to facilitate the European Tour’s news service by providing a cost-effective way to quickly produce high-quality custom content.
Deltatre, which was acquired by Bruin Sports Capital, the international media, sports, marketing and branded lifestyle investment company, a little under a year ago, said: “The ability to edit content in the cloud translates to a significant cost reduction for rights holders as production staff can work from anywhere, rather than going on-venue. Deltatre has seen an increase in demand for their cloud production services as more and more clients recognize the benefits of cloud technology.”
Deltatre started working with the European Tour in 2009 on projects including website design, hosting and maintenance, interactive storytelling and live blogging. It said: “Over the next three years, Deltatre’s cloud editing service will provide the European Tour with a team of remotely-based, highly skilled production staff to create custom content for its web and broadcast properties.”
Roddy Williams, the European Tour’s head of content, said: “Deltatre has been an important partner for a number of years and we look forward to continuing to collaborate to deliver engaging and entertaining content to our global fan base.”
Giampiero Rinaudo, Deltatre’s chief executive and co-founder, added: “We’re proud to continue our excellent working relationship with the European Tour. The ability to quickly produce and deliver original content has become an increasingly important part of maintaining a strong fan base. Deltatre’s cloud editing service simplifies the process of accessing stored content for production teams, allowing them to create more and better content for fans and stakeholders alike.”
